To Breath
Breath is the very essence to living. It is our KI aka: chi, qi, prana, or life force. Essentially our breath is what generates energy. The average person breathes 17,000 times a day.
Our breath is the single most important movement and function and it is responsible for our body by helping circulate blood, bringing oxygen to cleanse our organs and flush out toxins. Breathwork is a powerful tool to heal, release physical and emotional blocks, strengthen the immune system, calm the nervous system, and improve our cardiovascular and respiratory system. With that in mind, how does this change the way you approach improving the quality of your breath?
The benefits of breathwork is that it is a simple yet powerful method. It can be done anywhere and anytime since we technically breathe every minute in our day. However, what we at Kinect help you focus on is the QUALITY and the INTENTION when using your breath. Particularly triggering moments during stressful times on the road, sitting in traffic, waiting in long lines, performing at work, or other times you find yourself filled with anxiety. Utilizing your breath in every moment can be a huge grounding tool to keep you present and help regulate your nervous system.
Starting off with 10-15 mins a day with a breathwork meditation can make a subtle and noticeable shift in how you show up and ultimately how you feel. Studies have shown that breathwork has been an effective practice for reducing stress, anxiety, symptoms of PTSD, depression, helping with falling asleep, waking up and more.
